Lenore Gimpert's richly textured paintings are distinguished by their opulent colors and impasto technique. Their elegance and sophistication make them the marquee piece in each collection.  

Her signature pieces are large florals which grace the canvas and focus the room. The manner in which she layers the oil paints allows Gimpert to control the play of light on the each piece, allowing her works to reach beyond the canvas and capture the viewers imagination. Her deep impasto textures create expressive pieces that push her creations from just paintings to three dimensional sculptural renderings.  

Lenore's home and studio are centered in the downtown area of Birmingham, Michigan. She received her BFA at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. She also obtained a MA and MFA from Wayne State University in Detroit. Her award winning work can be found in many private and public collections internationally. Gimpert’s mastery of layering oils to interact with light and form create a contemporary look  and bring a new saga of painting that is bold and elegant,
